A preview, with clear boundaries.

Expect rough edges while compatibility and long-session behavior are being tested. Windows notification integration and Launch with Windows are unavailable in this portable build. There is no automatic updater.

From a folder to the edge.

  1. Download NyKur-Edge-0.1.0-preview.1-win-x64.zip from the GitHub release.
  2. Use Windows Extract All to extract the entire ZIP into a folder you can write to. Keep every file and subfolder together.
  3. Open the extracted folder and double-click NyKurEdge.App.exe. Run the extracted application, rather than opening the executable inside the ZIP.

The folder includes the application runtime. You do not need to install .NET or run as an administrator. No NyKur Edge account is required.

Unsigned Windows preview.

This build has no code-signing certificate. Windows may display a reputation or security message because the publisher is not verified. Review the official release, filename, and checksum before deciding whether to run it. If Windows flags or blocks the file, pause and contact the creator; do not override your security controls.

This download targets Windows 11 x64. Windows 10, ARM devices, other media providers, graphics configurations, and long sessions have not completed a full compatibility matrix. Media support depends on the session and controls exposed by the source application.

The first portable chapter.

v0.1.0-preview.1 packages the core ambient desktop experience into a self-contained folder. It opens a first public testing path while signed installation and broader validation remain ahead.

Notification access and Launch with Windows rely on packaged Windows integration and are unavailable in this ZIP. The website's notification illustration shows the packaged development capability, not a feature included in the portable preview.
